Sewing Bees
8 - 12 years
Tuesday 4 - 5.15pm term times
A regular fun group offering the opportunity to learn and develop a variety of textile skills including hand stitch, design and machine sewing skills. Projects range from bags, bunting, stuffed toys to pictures and cards.
What will we learn?
Projects cover hand stitching, sewing machine skills, using a simple pattern, sketchbook work and design. These skills form the basis of children's work and allows them to develop confidence and skills at their own pace.
Group size
The group size is kept small to allow us to give each child the attention and space to work safely.
Cost
£90 per 1/2 term (6 weeks) payable in advance.
Young Designers
13 - 16 years
Wednesday 4 - 5.15pm term times
A group for 13 – 16 year olds with an interest in stitch and design. We’ll take students through the key elements of learning to sew and through a variety of hand and machine stitched projects, fire up their passion for fashion and art textiles.
What will we learn?
Skills cover hand stitching, sewing machine skills, using and developing patterns, sketchbook work and design. These skills form the basis of student's work and allows them to develop individual projects at their own pace.
